Bulky pickup in Anchorage
Mattresses, furniture, and many appliances — city bulk or drop-off, not the regular cart.
Official source:
Anchorage mattresses use scheduled Saturday bulky collection ($12.50+ per item) OR self-haul to Central Transfer Station (CTS) — 1310 E 56th Ave. Confirm Saturday bulky fees and set-out rules on muni.org before collection day.
Construction debris, concrete, and remodel waste — transfer station or roll-off.
Official source:
Construction debris is not Anchorage Saturday bulky. Self-haul to CTS — 1310 E 56th Ave — or hire a private C&D hauler. Route oil paint/chemicals to HHW separately.
Cart recycling, store film take-back, and foam rules — not a second bulky program.
Official source:
Anchorage recycling carts do not want expanded polystyrene (EPS). White block foam, packing peanuts, and food trays are different streams. Grocery film/bag bins are not a foam drop-off. Municipality of Anchorage — How Do I Dispose is the official Anchorage program we verified — if that page only mentions plastic bags or film, treat block foam and food trays as bagged garbage unless it names a foam densifier. Clean peanuts may be reused at a shipper; starch peanuts are not EPS.
