Bulky pickup in Wichita
Mattresses, furniture, and many appliances — city bulk or drop-off, not the regular cart.
Official source:
Wichita has no universal city bulky pickup. Mattresses may go through income/organizer-gated Neighborhood Cleanup (one Saturday per year if eligible) or Brooks Landfill for about $20, or a private hauler. Check wichita.gov Neighborhood Cleanup eligibility.
TVs, computers, and electronics. Usually banned from trash and the blue bin.
Official source:
Sedgwick County HHW does NOT accept mixed e-waste. Wichita residents should use private electronics recyclers (fees may apply) or watch for rare county e-waste events. Do not put TVs/e-waste in regular trash — be honest that curbside/trash is discouraged.
Cart recycling, store film take-back, and foam rules — not a second bulky program.
Official source:
Wichita recycling carts do not want expanded polystyrene (EPS). White block foam, packing peanuts, and food trays are different streams. Grocery film/bag bins are not a foam drop-off. City of Wichita — Neighborhood Cleanup is the official Wichita program we verified — if that page only mentions plastic bags or film, treat block foam and food trays as bagged garbage unless it names a foam densifier. Clean peanuts may be reused at a shipper; starch peanuts are not EPS.
