Bulky pickup in High Point
Mattresses, furniture, and many appliances — city bulk or drop-off, not the regular cart.
Official source:
High Point mattresss go on curbside bulky during recycling week (every other week) for occasional items. Keep HHW for ECOFLO Greensboro or city event days. White goods also drop free at Guilford County White Goods.
Household hazardous waste — used oil, paint, propane, batteries, and chemicals.
Official source:
Take motor oil to ECOFLO/Republic HHW, 2750 Patterson Avenue, Greensboro (Mon–Fri 10–6, Sat 8–2) — permanent. High Point’s 1401 E MLK Jr Dr site is events-only (May 16 & Nov 14, 2026, 8–2). Latex paint: dry and trash. Keep chemicals off bulky week.
TVs, computers, and electronics. Usually banned from trash and the blue bin.
Official source:
High Point electronics including e waste mixed are not curbside. Drop free at the MRF, 5875 Riverdale Drive, Jamestown, or 3001 Ingleside Drive. Wipe data. ECOFLO also takes electronics.
Cart recycling, store film take-back, and foam rules — not a second bulky program.
Official source:
High Point recycling carts do not want expanded polystyrene (EPS). White block foam, packing peanuts, and food trays are different streams. Grocery film/bag bins are not a foam drop-off. City of High Point — Bulky Items Pickup is the official High Point program we verified — if that page only mentions plastic bags or film, treat block foam and food trays as bagged garbage unless it names a foam densifier. Clean peanuts may be reused at a shipper; starch peanuts are not EPS.
