Bulky pickup in Chattanooga
Mattresses, furniture, and many appliances — city bulk or drop-off, not the regular cart.
Official source:
Chattanooga mattresses go on free area bulk sweep — one week per month by area. Set out by 7:00 a.m. Monday of your area week. Maximum 12 bulk items per property per year.
TVs, computers, and electronics. Usually banned from trash and the blue bin.
Official source:
Chattanooga mixed e-waste: TVs go on area bulk sweep (set out by 7 a.m. Monday, max 12/year). Computers and other e-waste go to HHW — 4063 N Hawthorne St — NOT bulk sweep. Wipe data before drop-off.
Construction debris, concrete, and remodel waste — transfer station or roll-off.
Official source:
Construction debris is not Chattanooga area bulk sweep material. Hire a private C&D hauler for remodel loads. Route oil paint/chemicals to HHW separately.
Cart recycling, store film take-back, and foam rules — not a second bulky program.
Official source:
Chattanooga recycling carts do not want expanded polystyrene (EPS). White block foam, packing peanuts, and food trays are different streams. Grocery film/bag bins are not a foam drop-off. City of Chattanooga — Brush & Bulk Collection is the official Chattanooga program we verified — if that page only mentions plastic bags or film, treat block foam and food trays as bagged garbage unless it names a foam densifier. Clean peanuts may be reused at a shipper; starch peanuts are not EPS.
