Bulky pickup in Boulder
Mattresses, furniture, and many appliances — city bulk or drop-off, not the regular cart.
Official source:
Boulder mattresss go to CHaRM, 6400 Arapahoe Road (mattresses accepted, item fees) or via a licensed hauler. Chemicals/paint go to HMMF, 1901 63rd Street — not CHaRM. Keep streams split.
Household hazardous waste — used oil, paint, propane, batteries, and chemicals.
Official source:
Take motor oil to Boulder County Hazardous Materials Management Facility, 1901 63rd Street — Wednesday–Saturday 8:30–4, free drop-off. Paint, cleaners, pesticides, motor oil, sharps, batteries. Reuse room for latex/oil paint. No appliances or e-waste.
TVs, computers, and electronics. Usually banned from trash and the blue bin.
Official source:
Boulder electronics including e waste mixed go to CHaRM, 6400 Arapahoe Road (Mon–Sat 9–5; facility + item fees). HMMF does not take e-waste. Wipe data.
Cart recycling, store film take-back, and foam rules — not a second bulky program.
Official source:
Boulder recycling carts do not want expanded polystyrene (EPS). White block foam, packing peanuts, and food trays are different streams. Grocery film/bag bins are not a foam drop-off. Boulder County — Hazardous Materials Management Facility is the official Boulder program we verified — if that page only mentions plastic bags or film, treat block foam and food trays as bagged garbage unless it names a foam densifier. Clean peanuts may be reused at a shipper; starch peanuts are not EPS.
