Mattresses and furniture can use fee-based Special Collections — call (915) 212-6000; $35 for up to 5 cubic yards plus $7/cy after; set out by 6 a.m. with 5 ft clearance — or drop off free at Citizen Collection Stations (CCS) Tue–Sat 8 a.m.–4 p.m. with water bill and ID. Household hazardous waste — used oil, paint, propane, batteries, and chemicals.

Household hazardous waste is accepted at all El Paso Citizen Collection Stations during Tue–Sat 8 a.m.–4 p.m. hours. Bring water bill and ID. Used motor oil accepted at CCS HHW. Five CCS locations serve the city — see elpasotexas.gov collection stations.

El Paso recycling carts do not want expanded polystyrene (EPS). White block foam, packing peanuts, and food trays are different streams. Grocery film/bag bins are not a foam drop-off. City of El Paso — Collection stations is the official El Paso program we verified — if that page only mentions plastic bags or film, treat block foam and food trays as bagged garbage unless it names a foam densifier. Clean peanuts may be reused at a shipper; starch peanuts are not EPS.
