Bulky pickup in Murrieta
Mattresses, furniture, and many appliances — city bulk or drop-off, not the regular cart.
Official source:
Murrieta mattresss go on 2 free WM bulky pickups per year — call 866-909-4458 ≥24 hours ahead. Spring/fall city drop-off events also take mattresses. Keep full HHW/e-waste for county PHHWCF (Murrieta ABOP is paint/oil/batteries only).
Household hazardous waste — used oil, paint, propane, batteries, and chemicals.
Official source:
For paint, used oil, antifreeze, and batteries, use Murrieta ABOP, 25315 Jefferson Ave, Saturdays 9–2. Full HHW including pesticides and motor oil chemicals that ABOP rejects goes to Lake Elsinore Permanent HHW, 512 N Langstaff St (1st Saturday monthly; seasonal hours). Keep chemicals off WM bulky.
TVs, computers, and electronics. Usually banned from trash and the blue bin.
Official source:
Murrieta ABOP does not take e-waste. Take e waste mixed/TVs to a Riverside County permanent HHW facility (Lake Elsinore PHHWCF, 512 N Langstaff St, 1st Saturday monthly). Wipe data.
Cart recycling, store film take-back, and foam rules — not a second bulky program.
Official source:
Murrieta recycling carts do not want expanded polystyrene (EPS). White block foam, packing peanuts, and food trays are different streams. Grocery film/bag bins are not a foam drop-off. City of Murrieta — Residential Services is the official Murrieta program we verified — if that page only mentions plastic bags or film, treat block foam and food trays as bagged garbage unless it names a foam densifier. Clean peanuts may be reused at a shipper; starch peanuts are not EPS.
