All Oakland households (owners and renters) can schedule bulky junk curbside pickup and a one-time drop-off of up to four cubic yards at Davis Street Resource Recovery Complex (San Leandro). Reserve at 1-888-WM-BULKY (1-888-962-8559) or online. Place curb items by 6 a.m. appointment day; do not set out more than one day early (fines possible). No HHW/medical waste, rocks/dirt/concrete, or fiberglass in bulky loads.
Household hazardous waste — used oil, paint, propane, batteries, and chemicals.

Oakland recycling carts do not want expanded polystyrene (EPS). White block foam, packing peanuts, and food trays are different streams. Grocery film/bag bins are not a foam drop-off. Oakland Recycles — Bulky Service is the official Oakland program we verified — if that page only mentions plastic bags or film, treat block foam and food trays as bagged garbage unless it names a foam densifier. Clean peanuts may be reused at a shipper; starch peanuts are not EPS.
