Bulky pickup in Grand Prairie
Mattresses, furniture, and many appliances — city bulk or drop-off, not the regular cart.
Official source:
Grand Prairie collects bulk items weekly with regular service — set mattresss at the curb on your collection day within the posted size limits. Self-haul is available at the Grand Prairie Landfill, 1102 MacArthur Boulevard. Keep chemicals off the pile.
Household hazardous waste — used oil, paint, propane, batteries, and chemicals.
Official source:
The Grand Prairie Landfill does not accept household hazardous waste. For motor oil, use the city's voucher arrangement for the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center or wait for a Grand Prairie HHW collection event. Confirm current voucher rules on gptx.org before driving — you generally need one in hand. Never pour chemicals down a drain.
TVs, computers, and electronics. Usually banned from trash and the blue bin.
Official source:
Grand Prairie e waste mixed is not a curbside item. Use a city collection event or the Fort Worth Environmental Collection Center under the city's voucher arrangement. Confirm the current program on gptx.org and wipe personal data first.
Construction debris, concrete, and remodel waste — transfer station or roll-off.
Official source:
Construction debris self-hauls to the Grand Prairie Landfill, 1102 MacArthur Boulevard, at posted tipping fees. Route paint to the Fort Worth ECC or a city HHW event — the landfill takes no HHW.
Cart recycling, store film take-back, and foam rules — not a second bulky program.
Official source:
Grand Prairie recycling carts do not want expanded polystyrene (EPS). White block foam, packing peanuts, and food trays are different streams. Grocery film/bag bins are not a foam drop-off. City of Grand Prairie — Landfill is the official Grand Prairie program we verified — if that page only mentions plastic bags or film, treat block foam and food trays as bagged garbage unless it names a foam densifier. Clean peanuts may be reused at a shipper; starch peanuts are not EPS.
