Bulky pickup in Round Rock
Mattresses, furniture, and many appliances — city bulk or drop-off, not the regular cart.
Official source:
Round Rock residents get one free bulk collection per year for mattress — up to about 5 cubic yards. Schedule it through the city/hauler and keep chemicals, electronics, and refrigerant appliances out of the pile.
Household hazardous waste — used oil, paint, propane, batteries, and chemicals.
Official source:
Take motor oil to the Round Rock Recycling Center at 310 Deepwood Drive — a permanent household hazardous waste drop-off open Tuesday through Saturday, noon to 4 p.m., for city residents. Bring proof of residency and keep chemicals off bulk piles.
TVs, computers, and electronics. Usually banned from trash and the blue bin.
Official source:
The Round Rock Recycling Center does not take electronics, so e waste mixed goes to a TCEQ manufacturer take-back program (Texas Recycles Computers / Texas Recycles TVs) or a private recycler. Wipe your data first.
Construction debris, concrete, and remodel waste — transfer station or roll-off.
Official source:
Construction debris is not part of Round Rock residential collection. Hire a private C&D hauler or take it to a regional landfill with published tipping fees. Route paint and chemicals to the Deepwood HHW drop-off.
Cart recycling, store film take-back, and foam rules — not a second bulky program.
Official source:
Round Rock recycling carts do not want expanded polystyrene (EPS). White block foam, packing peanuts, and food trays are different streams. Grocery film/bag bins are not a foam drop-off. City of Round Rock — Garbage and Recycling is the official Round Rock program we verified — if that page only mentions plastic bags or film, treat block foam and food trays as bagged garbage unless it names a foam densifier. Clean peanuts may be reused at a shipper; starch peanuts are not EPS.
